Kris Allen captured his female fans with his rendition of “All She Wants to Do Is Dance” by Don Henley. Surrounded by groupies, Kris gave the song a jazzy twist, but unfortunately, the judges didn’t like the heartthrob’s cover.
Kara: “That kind of felt like jazz-funk homework.”
Paula: “You did change it up, you are likable.”
Simon: “It was indulgent, boring…forgettable. It was a stupid, stupid song choice.”
Randy: “I agree with Simon. The arrangement was a little self-indulgent.”
Regardless, the fans love Kris and it looks like he may have escaped elimination this week.
